​SPRY, a nonprofit organization, was founded with a mission to empower refugee youth through sports. The idea came to life while volunteering at the International Rescue Committee, where we saw how curious yet shy the children were. However, during sports breaks—especially soccer—they transformed, breaking out of their shells and connecting through the universal language of sports. Inspired by this, we created SPRY to use sports as a bridge, helping refugee youth build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging in their new communities.
